Agra Fort was built in the year 1565 by the Mughal Emperor Akbar. Engraved in red sandstone, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Covering an area of 2.5 km northwest of the famous Taj Mahal, it once served as the residence of Mughal Emperors like Shah Jahan, Aurangzeb, Homerun and Akbar. It boasts of remarkable building and streamer. It is a charming pattern of the wonderful blend of Indo Islamic architectural styles.

This fortified fort has an outer wall which is 21.4 m high. The fort was once accessed through the following gates namely Amar Singh gate, Delhi gate and Lahore gate. But now the entrance is only through the Amar Singh gate.

The fort complex consists of several superb apartments, each having its own exclusive charm. Explore its bastions, gateways, harems, royal rooms, palaces, ramparts and towers which speak volumes about its glorious history.
